Has it already been a year?
Well, not really... not before tomorrow anyway!
I had some friends on the IRC-channels help me checking up some old logs, and it turned out, that the 13th of February 2005 was the first time I presented the basic form of what was going to become The Webcomic Crossover & Cameo Archive, so tomorrow will be its 1 year anniversary!
I'd actually wanted to do something like this for quite some time, especially since I've always loved cameos. Back in the days before webcomics, with me only having normal comics to enjoy, I always enjoyed a team-up between, lets say superheroes, from two or more different comics. It was a kind of, pay for one-get more for the same price... and I loved it!
With my entry into webcomics, I delighthed in crossovers, especially the first It's Walky / Melonpool crossover that, in my opinion, is one of the best crossover in webcomic history I've so far experienced. But not only where there the crossovers, but also the cameos that were hiding as eastereggs in strips of many different comic, just waiting to be discovered by the sharp-eyed reader!
Many times I thought about making a list of all the cameos, just for the fun of it, but I didn't do anything about it... that is, right until AaaSoC and A Taste of Evil at the same time did a tribute to the return of Mike to the land of the living in Shortpacked the day before!
As I was followed all three comics at that time, and more or less knew the authors, something went click and I said to myself... NOW is the time!
The next day I put up a sub-domain on my site, started building a template for the Archive (with lots of direct-comments and help from friends on the IRC) and added the beforementioned comics as the first of many... the rest is history, a one year history.
Now, a year later the Archive holds a total of 650 webcomics and an unknown number of actual links to crossovers, cameos and references between them all, and more are added daily!
The knowledge of the Archive has also spread, though it's still only a small project I haven't done much pimping *cough* for, it's linked from a couple of other sites, and references to it keep popping up in forums and blogs around the net once in a while... people are actually using it as a resource, a fun thing to visit, and that is actually what I was aiming for, so for me the Archive has been a success.
All this could now have been done without the help of many people, especially those who've frequented this forum, contributing cameos and references galore for me to add, but there's also all those who've mailed contributions, cartoonist's who've mailed and corrected me as well as contributed, and many more...
Thanks for reading, thanks for contributing, thanks for spreading the word.
Keep up the good job!

Thanks!
I must admit I'd never thought this would go as far as it has gone, but despite the workload this has become (especially thanks to 'certain' people), we are still going strong!
Lets take another year, shall we?
