Here, on the Webcomic Crossover & Cameo Archive, we’ll like to promote this great cameo-opportunity by inviting all webcomic-artists and their characters to take part in the first of the annual Halloween Cameo Capers!
The basic idea was to gather all the characters in a chosen setting, and them have them have their party of Halloween fun there together. Then we’ll see how the characters from many different strips interact on a social level… eactly how much socializing there’s possible at a chaotic Halloween party, one can wonder…?
Each artist would then draw a strip, featuring his, hers or its (this is webomic business after all!) characters, as well as as many of the other artists’ characters as possible, or at least characters from as many other strips as possible! The strip will then be posted at the artists site at the day of Halloween, either as a filler-strip, canon-strip og something exclusive, some might just settle for a forum-posted drawing. For some inventive artists, the occasion might even turn out to take the form as a minor plotline! The possibilities are many!
When Halloween 2006 has passed, a special site will be put up at http://halloween2006.dragoneers.com (not active before then!) celebrating and immortalizing the event.
The essence of it all is for everybody, artist and readers alike, to have fun! To try ones skill at drawing others characters!
... besides that, it’s also a great way to promote ones own comic!
