Re: The Setting of RCS Nostromummy
Well, going away from what the ship looks like, wanted to get some idea of the resident of this doomed vessel that teeters between a rock and a hard place (roughly translated names of the twin suns, though rock is spelled with an extra "O" and no "C" according to the translator, but changed due to bromidic value). Wanted to suggest a race of large bug people, whose massive strength made them good labor race doing everything from heavy lifting to building the larger structures when the planet was not on the verge of destruction.

Re: The Setting of RCS Nostromummy
Since this is clearly sci-fi in origin, there has to be robots. Who wants to start with how they should look and act? I say there should be service droids that look similar to the EOU bots, but with a completely different head, for simplicity's sake. I'll leave everything else to everyone else as I still haven't drawn in 8 years.
The difference between good and evil is only perception. That's why I choose an alignment of chaotic neutral, so I don't have to worry over such stupid things as morals.

Ha, or they are actually made of EOU droid parts. >.>
Re: The Setting of RCS Nostromummy
Hmmm, humanoid robots/androids then. Rather any of them are made from EOU droid parts can be up to each person... or unless a race of scrap robots made there way onto the ship... though lots you can do with that.

Re: The Setting of RCS Nostromummy
IIRC it's been established that the droids & other EOU forces got scattered when the DRACO blew up, so it's possible that a squad of EOU droids may have ended up on the Nostromummy.
Whether any of the authors want to use that possibility...

Oh yes, who knows what may have ended up in the last Refuge Craft from a dying planet?
Also, remember the the planet was multi-special as well as having spacefaring capabilities, lots of different races can have ended up mixed up in the ship!

Re: The Setting of RCS Nostromummy
we don't really know if a black hole can serve as a worm hole, nor if the star does not get swallowed as well, along with destroying the planet, but it's good plotting. We do know that a black hole is a super compacted star, compacted so much that light itself cannot escape but somehow X-rays and gamma rays seem to be generated. It makes one wonder if the fabric of reality is compacted too and so it creates a tunnel of sorts so that if anything survives then they would be sent to the other side of the universe or something
I just wish I hadnt got on hiatus to work on the background of the comic and could join, in, I would toss in Invisicat, who can hide just parts of her person, (she does it to her hair) and make it look like she is not a a catta. Also, with a little extra effort she can hide her heat signature. Her talent of invisibility is really strong, despite being a common talent with no degree. The only way to find her when she is invisible is to run right into her, or to have enough dust fall on her to coat her, and her aura of invisibility, which extends 6 inches away from her and whatever else she is making invisible. Then she would look like she is some kind of snow woman with points and a tale, but she could still move, just not that fast Also, her footprints has given her away a few times in her adventure,s, she is ditzy and forgets about them sometimes unless reminded.
I wonder, depending on the state you leave the ship in if I can use it for Cat's space adventure, which is in the next chapter. It would be ironic actually, since Xade has a stable black hole, if they wind up in the space that Xade/Questa occupies Aden's spell might have moved Questa's history through time but that doesnt mean that she isn't known, on the contrary, simply the fact that the entire Questa system isn't where it is supposed to be makes galactic news.

Re: The Setting of RCS Nostromummy
Okay, with the Caper having run its course, I'm going to put up the various pictures and descriptions made for the setting (like the drawing of Nostromummy for example) up on the Hun under "setting", if any of you have anything lying around you've been using during the Caper, let me know so I can get it included for posterity.
