Swell! Welcome aboard cuendolin, good to see more curious people here :D

One day left to come up with suggestions for possible places to hold the party folks, and then Monday the poll will go up so we can finally decide!

Double post!!

The time for suggesting places to hold the Cameo Caper 2008 is now up, and a poll has been put together with the most popular suggestions (and a couple added by yours sincerely since not enough new spots were suggested...).

The Poll will run until the end of March, after which the winning choice will be chosen and a setting build up from the basic idea, and THEN the signing up and planning can begin!!

On your mark... get set... vote!!

... oh, and for those who do not want to sign up in the forum in order to vote, its possible to "mail-vote" by mailing your choice to your's sincerely.
Also, the options for voting is for everyone, no matter if you consider participating or not...

Okay...I was torn. Zombies are WAY cool, but I think the possibilities in the Austrian Alps won me over. Think of it:

Cold. Snow. Snow bunnies....evil snow bunnies.

Next train of thought....cold....girls....NIPPLES!!!! The nipples won me over. <3

Whoa... for a minute it looked like it would be a draw and we would end up with a caper taking place in a zombie-infested mall located deep in the Austrian Alps, but now that threat is avoided... for now :wink:

Keep the voting coming, and feel free to come with setting specific suggestions along the way, suggestions we can used when its time to flesh out the winning setting!

I went for the forumverse, but Zombies-in-a-mall was my second choice. If we did do a forumverse though it'd have to be a real one...

it could even be this one! :twisted: Would that not be awesome?

Actually... Scale knows perfectly well what and who I am... now, I'm more afraid of the REST of the characters from the other comics, especially Wander might carry a grudge against me... :?

actually i could go for the mall full of zombies, but usually any area i create gets blown to bits over the corse of the storyline

Well, Wheels only just finished repainting Shelterville. It's not like we haven't blown settings up before... (Dahk-Tuin is still in pieces. Plus, my characters are currently on trial for blowing up the last mall they were in).

Explosions are not a problem...

well one of my main charictors comes from a universe where destroying a whole galaxy and picking off those who flee is considered an acceptable loss. yeah packing the boom sticks alright

It should come as no surprise that the them for this year's Halloween became "Zombie Filled Mall", and a lot of weird highjinks and plans took form on this forum to be carried out in several different comics around Halloween... starting in August and not ending before well into 2009... which seems to be typical for the Halloween Cameo Capers :P

Unfortunately, due to a hacking of the domain on which the the forum was located, making a reinstall on everything necessary, causing a loss of 9 months of posts on the forum, almost all the planning is lost to history. However, the Caper has, as always, been recorded here, so the ideas and and hard work of the participants is still among us :)
