EO Epilogue - Deception's Tail
Since Aggie left the battlefield at the end of the Crossover Wars, carrying the mortally wounded Deception with her, she has effecively been running an epilogue to the Wars on the main site, showing how the Dragonic Overlord is faring after the Wars... in the personal hands of an Author no less!
At the moment she tends to update twice a week, but you can keep up on the right schedule by keeping an eye on the site or this theread which will be dedicated to any comments/discussions/questions associated with this storyline...
So far the following updates have been made to this epilogue:

Heh, I don't exactly think Deception is used to be in debt to anyone, no less a woman, attractive or not (he seemed to have plenty of respect for Celine though), and the fall from Overlord to travel companion/pet probably annoyes the hell out of him... but yes, pretty ungrateful you can say...
And on the matter of the latest strips, I've known plenty of people who can basically build a computer from scratch but would have a hard time changing a tire without looking in the manual

Deception, being a dragon, was one of the most powerful critters in his homeworld before coming aboard with the EOU. With the EOU, he was second in command, second only to a being with power he'd never even REMOTELY dreamed about.
Anything he asked for, he was given.
Now he's been beat down to an inch of his life, has his powers stripped from him (I assume, anyway), can't shapeshift back to his natural form, can't even give any INDICATION that he's as powerful as he is...
And is held basically prisoner in another dimension by one of the ones that helped bring about his downfall.
Ungrateful? I don't think that applies here, he's a POW.
Admittedly, Aggie's a hell of a better looker than Colonel Klink was. :p

hehe..... Net gets the prize on that one!
Deception's world has gone complete 180 degrees... if we remember Phil's prologue about Deccy.. he killed off his own kind before leaving his homeworld. He had no qualms about doing so either.
Deccy has always assumed that his physical strength as a dragon would make him superior, which up until now, it has served him well. He reminds me of the typical football jock, feeling above everyone he viewed as weaker than himself, covering himself up with shallow perky blond cheerleaders.
You take away his physical strength and what do you really have? I guess we'll find out....
Aggie on the other hand... well.. she's the exact opposite.. a comic nerd in real life, getting to Mary Sue was fun... but it was a shocker too. War wasn't as glamorous as the comics make it out to be. Now she just wants to go back to a quiet nerd life.. but..I guess we'll find out how that goes too...

OK, fair enough, I was being a little unfair with Deception. However, the points you all make just goes to show that this is a good thing for him. Maybe he'll learn some humility & be less of a Jerk@$$.
A question for Aggie though. When you say killed off his own kind before joining the EOU, do you just mean the three young dragons that accompanied him on his raid? Or to you mean his entire species?

I'm not sure how many were killed when he left his homeworld, but I can bet you 100 bucks he's not welcome back. I'll have to ask Phil when I get a chance. It's been a while since I read that particular page. I'm not going to ask Deccy himself.. he'd probably lie to me about it anyway.Amon Star wrote:A question for Aggie though. Good idea. However, just password protect everything that isn't porn & Deception will be happy.AmericanGothic wrote:I'm not sure how many were killed when he left his homeworld, but I can bet you 100 bucks he's not welcome back. Those answers will be revealed this week infact! So no more hints from me!Amon Star wrote:So, this woman, or female figure at any rate, is indestructible. And Aggy seems to be scared of her. Any guesses as to who or what she is?
On a side note, Aggy looks might fine in her night gown.
... and thanks... I'm just glad it still fit... I was afraid going from Lioness Anthro to human again would have stretched it out, but it seems to be fitting okay

It is because of actions like want is going on in the Deception story now that I figured that he would be willing to try to reform the E.O.U. with want ever means he can to take over Angie's world first just out of spite.
The only means I see of preventing the action is to give him a girlfriend that he would be willing to do anything for which leaves out Angie.

The American Gothic Daily universe is modern Earth.. except that magic is real and hidden from normal humans.... which.. is just like.. the real Earth.. so.. it's the real earth... sort of. yeah.. That's it... I think.

About the first time he has to contend with the hidden races of Earth... hahaha..... I dont think he's gonna get very far. He's not the only dragon here! That will go over about as well as a lead balloon.
LOL... I wont tell him a thing... I gotta see this!!!

Reader Power isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Anyway, left to his own devises, Deception will be satisfied with just perusing the 'Adult' sites.Stardrake wrote:Amon Star wrote:Good idea. TheGuyBehindTheKeyboard wrote:Yes and no - it's certainly the weakest means of influencing the comic-related multiverse from our own, but it is a means of doing so. It would also allow the insertion of agents into a forumverse without having to recruit an author's character from another comic. Instead, he could directly empower a character in the universe in question.
He'd probably get caught if he tried it in one of the Mayhemverses, but not all forumverses lacks Reader tags or other properties of the close reader-character relationship that a lot of Mayhem-native reader-empowered characters have. As long as the character he empowers doesn't actually take Deception or a derivative as their alias, of course...
