Regarding the Editor: I was going to say that line from the Necromonicon about eternal sleep being away to avoid Death, but I can't remember exactly how it goes. Ho-hum. However, Eddie ain't dead, in my opinion, just waiting.Hogan wrote:Twice... and lets not forget the Editor!Amon Star wrote:Some Bunnies died. Or close to died anyway. It was because of that kind of logic that I considered the originial back up plan of "trapping the Editor in the end of the road in the Despository of Dangerous Things using over 300 different symbols to seal him at a lock per symbol while his body would project an anti-magic field" was most likely needed when Corpial Max Capnap took his body from the field before anybody could comfirm he was dead.Net wrote:Remember your cartoon logic, people. If'n you can't find no body, they can always return bigger better faster stronger!

And the Editor is the type that can recreate The Evil Overlords United starting at a point better than ever been before. Especially, now that video games, forums, and television shows should now be able to add to the revived E.O.U. if that root be decised a pond in addiation to those from short stories and web comics considering what happened by the time the first Crossover Wars ended.
Except for 3 cases, the E.O.U. was defeated by unknown variables to them that threw off thier caluations including the fact that they didn't know that Scale was involve until the final battle. The first of these 3 cases where they should have known better was the fact that they didn't take into account Mind Mistress's I.Q. when they went after her. The second case of the 3 was where they tried to divide Chaos power without first setting it to a set amount. In that case, they should be happy that none of the KAM gods decided to get directly involved because when the E.O.U. tried to force Chaos to use his power the way they did, the KAM gods had legitment reason to enter the war. And the third of the 3 cases is when they sent intellienge robots to Magicial Misfits when there was already a whole arc in the web comic focusing mainly on intellienge machines getting scientment.

Technically the Norse gods of The KAMics as I didn't invent them just wrote my own version of them. Also they are at their most powerful in The KAMics. I'm not sure how powerful they would be outside The KAMics.invinible wrote:In that case, they should be happy that none of the KAM gods decided to get directly involved because when the E.O.U. tried to force Chaos to use his power the way they did, the KAM gods had legitment reason to enter the war.

Funny, when I look at the list now, the votes are spread out almost equally... gives food for thoughts!

Re: Who was your favorite Overlord?
Catnap isn't on that list.
There is something to be said for a good villain: The hero of their own story. For Doc and Celine, that's definitely the case. For Deception? Much less clear.
Fellback? I can't really say I know his story. Heck, just trying to track down his plotline across the whole story is ... probably impossible. And his motives and goals? Why toss the whole bottle of WCA at Jenny given both how hard it was to get (how did he get it, anyways?) and the need of the EO's for it. Catnap was trackable, but he's go that little hiatus just before PSI that made it hard. I can at least follow his motivations, drives, etc. He's definitely trying to show the rest of the comic worlds what horrible creatures authors really are.
Editor? To be honest, I can't yet understand what his step 2 would be. Step 1: Take over the Webcomics. Step 2: ?
Why the first step in the first place?
Much as I like that Naga, I can't make him my favorite villain just for that.

Re: Who was your favorite Overlord?
Heh. you drive home a good point Keybounce... someone should try to get together the full history, background and motivations of the various characters as can be put together from the clues hidden through the wars
Who knows? Perhaps we can get the character bios' up in full... or at least the unofficial ones?
... and Catnap isn't on the list because he, like many of the other characters, was a minion, an agent... perhaps there should be a poll for those?

Had to go with Eddy. I loved how competent he was. The other were good too, but Eddy is the one who started the whole show.
I think therefor I am.

But yeah, having read over the crossover wars, I can't honestly say I truly understand the Editor's back story either. Other than, he, like catnap, were once a part of their authors. Matt as if you were to know him (and it is my theory) that he, like his RL counterpart, is a bit of an ambitious writer. Taking on many stories and pushing to have real comics come about. How many were you at, Net? 12 comics being written by you at one point?
Anyway, my point is that I can sort of understand the Editor here. You take fictional Matt, over stress the guy to the point where he's got so many different stories running at once and the poor guy, let's say, hits what most writers fear--that nasty writers block. Something like that won't stop a Muse who just wants to keep telling more and more stories, then add a dash of greed. Why can't he have more stories, ones that aren't even his own? Bend the realms to his will? So do what villains do, start raking in that bit of pie of webcomics, control them. No weak-willed man named Matt is going to hold you back.
That's my interpretation anyway. Not that it's 100% accurate, but in accordance with Oklahoma State Regulations, I'm obliged to say that "A Wizard Did It".

Did anyone ever start a wiki to document this whole big story?
It is a big story, and it deserves to not be lost. It can't really be converted to plain text, but it can be described in plain text.
And it might be a place for people who had undrawn comics to add in what went missing, so we might see the rest of the backgrounds.
