The Crossover Wars Central Hub

Post by Hogan »

Well, since you are already here you probably already know about the Central Hub of the Crossover Wars.

The Hub was established shortly after the Crossover Wars took their beginning with the forming of Evil Overlords and CameoComic, and was intended to be a place where all the various expanding threads of the Wars were to be gathered in order to allow any readers a chance to find the comics involved and check up on the rapidly expanding Wars.

Furthermore, to avoid any possible loss of strips due to failing servers, removal of comics and whatever could happen to the net as a whole, just like The Great Escape by now have lost several parts, the Hub also keep a copy of each and every strip, to preserve them for the future.
Off course there is also a complete offline archive, you can never be too sure!

Over the 9 months the Wars have raged, the Hub have tried to keep up and always bringing the uptodate news on the various storylines. Sometimes the Hub have been behind schedule, with up to 9 days at one point. This has been due to your sincerely having too much on his table, but it always caught up sooner or later, and has again managed to do so here in the Eve of the Wars.

But the work of the Hub is not finished... not yet!

A project spanning 9 months is bound to have some problems, and in this case it has been several storylines lacking behind, delayed strips from comics, some delayed endings and so forth, most noteworthy being CameoComic's loss of strips up to the very end. However! most of these strips and storylines are promised to be finished in due time, filling out the missing holes in the Hub and its storylines.

So... to get to the point. Off course all the missing strips will be added to the hub as they show up, but because some of them might be backdated, they will show up on their backdated date in the Hub, and probably miss your attention (new ones added after 5th of October will off course still be added properly to the site, as have been done up until now), so... whenever new strips go up on the Hub, and not on the first page, you will ne notified in this thread.

Also, if anyone knows of CW-related strips that are not currently placed in the Hub, post the link in this thread. We might already know of them, but better safe than sorry

And, as a final note, with the Wars mostly over, the Hub will in the days to come undergo a series of changes and moving around of links, all to, hopefully, make it more readable to the visiting reader. Ideas, suggestions and comments are welcome.

One thing few who followed the Wars knew, is that there actually was another front somewhere else in the worlds of webcomics, a front running its own storyline that so far have eluded the public knowledge... but now its time to reveal the front!

It seems like the EO, after their attack on the Forums of EGS, CRFH and Wotch, also send their forces against the forums of the Webcomiclist, attacking authors massed there.
The battle was long and hard... and now you can finally see at least the beginning of it, more will be added later.

Go check out the Forum Wars, starting with the 3rd Prologue, and then running down to chapter 6 (if you already have read the rest of the Forum Wars that is!). 8)

The oldest missing strip in the CameoComic has been added to the site as well as the hub! :D
Courtesty of KAM 8)

Also, the Hub has been updated with the last of the Warmage (NSFW) part of the Crossover Wars, closing down yet another CW-storyline.

Lastly, Pimpette and Associates, as well as the Hub, has been updated with one of the missing strips from the Adult Wars!

Things are shaping up! :)

Invasion will restart soon, but only on my Webcomicsnation site. How are we going to deal with that?

Geeh... I have been lazy!

I have completely forgotten to mention that reinder has begun posting the last parts of his part in the Crossover Wars, the Invasion storyline. Its one of those parts of the Wars that brought most permanent changes to other comics during the event, so better catch up on the ending!

Also worth mentioning is that Fesworks has put up another of his planned missing strips for his last parts in the Wars, so check out here if you want to follow Catnap's fate from before he ended up at the battlefield in the end...

Still moving ahead... the latest strip from PSI has been added by Fesworks, sending Catnap ahead to the battle and closing that gap in his storyline.

Also, went back to the beginning of October and added Ardra's contribution showing the saving of Fesworks during the Last Battle...

Also, Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan keeps updating the last parts of the War-storyline, Invasion!

Another of the missing CameoComic strips has now been added to the continuity, this time with help from Reinder Dijkhuis! Thanks a lot Reinder!

At the same time, Reinder has also come to the, so far, end of his Invasion-storyline, the storyline that came to be when Rogues of Clwyd-Rahn was affected by the Wars.
All strips have been linked from the Crossover Wars Hub

Furthermore, P.S.I. has had yet another strip added to the Hub, getting closer to filling out its remaining holes in its war-participation.

Yes... we are getting there slowly! :)

And finally we came to adding the the much awaited CameoComic strip that was supposed to finally reveal who the Source was, who or what was powering the DRACO... after months of waiting, and two and a half month delayed, you finally get to know!!

Again, this strip is thanks to Reinder Dijkhuis!

*nods*

I'll get around to add those parts shortly. Though they were not a part of the original plans, they deserve to be counted among Hub canon 8)

Still has to get the Mindmistress strips added to the Hub, but I did get the series of backdated Alternate Delusion strips added to the Hub under Scale's Tale... see down in the middle of Chapter 12: Showdown!

Thanks for coming back in force Tim! 8)

Whoo!

Also, I've finished off the last few strips, so a few things left to add, I think.

Splendid! :D

And with the adding of the last Alternate Delusion strips to the Hub, another chapter of the Wars are closed! 8)

Also got the until now 8 pages of Mindmistress' part in the Last Battle added up, placed under the Showdown part of Scale's Tale together with the Alternate Delusion part.

Once we final get all the strips of the Wars together, I might rearrange some of the Hub to make the various parts flow better... but thats for later.

Updated again with a couple of more Mindmistress' and the new P.S.I. :)

Also, to address a comment from the tagboard, I will not add the current running EO-epilogues of Time of the Thingies and Deception's Tail to the Hub as they are not a direct part of the Wars. Neither will I add other sudden appearing War-flashbacks that were not foreseen as parts during the run of the Wars, Mindmistress an exception.
The reason for this is that I would like to be able to close the Hub once and for all at some point, then go in and rearrange until we got the story presented in the best and most readable way... and I can't do that if we keep adding to it, can we? ;)

Once again an update of the Hub with the rest of the Mindmistress arc as well as what seems to be the rest of the P.S.I.-arc 8)

And... to crown the work... the adding of yet another of the missing CC-strips!

10 to go!! :D

Edit: 9 to go! Reinder has brought us another missing strip! :D

And, while we wait for Pimpette to update with more of the lost CW-strips, I've added a little shortstory to the WCA-Hunt chapter, the story of Summersale (Chapter 7) in which Summer of Public Humiliation starts making a profit on the interdimensional comicwars!

... and its not backdating, I just didn't get to gather and add the strips up the first time around

Again, quite a lot of notes about updates to the Hub was lost recently when the Forum had to be reinstalled due to hacking, losing 9 months of posts along the way... :?

BUT... the Crossover Wars has been completely reinstalled, so it is still completely intact and contains all the added strips of the entire event... including the backlogged ones :-)

And, as of today the Hub has been updated with the last part of Phil's Flashback/timejump for the Volet storyline!
