Crossover Wars Debriefing Room

Post by Hogan »

The Wars are Over!

Yes, the webcomic event that started out so innocently with the launching of two new webcomics way back in January has finally, 9 months later, come to its official conclusion. Along the way we pick up more than 50 comics, 1400 strips (still counting as straggling storylines an comics are catching up) and had a helluva of fun... that is, we for certain know that we, the Warmongers, had. 8)

So, now it has finally become time to unleash the Crossover Wars Forum, the forum for the event itself, where you can ask any questions regarding the Wars, discuss events and generally hang out. Many of the authors, artists and writers that participated in the Wars also hang out here, so this is the place if you want to know something War-related

The Wars may be over, but all the fun and mayhem they brought might not

Edit: Yep, there it was... left behind the boxes in the basement, it should be available again now 8)

The stories and situations created in wars are too good to be left alone! I for one have a loose end to fix. Wander is still female courtesy of deception. So take one villain created during the war barrow four war veterans. And suddenly I'm up to my eyebrows in one last war related story! "Last" I almost said that with a straight face! When this is done maybe I can finish the storyline I interrupted a year ago. An EOU droid free story.

Hehehe... it always impresses me how you can weave so many old storylines together to new ones, and thanks for showing and warning us about that fact, that though the EO's have lost the battle, their forces are still around, ready to cause more havoc! 8)

... and please don't tell Brando that I suggested the Ka-girling of Wander

You don't... the first war is over, and there's currently no plans for CW II that are anything other than pipe dreams. :)

Such a shame. The wars had such good plots and competent villains. One other question though, do you think it is completely over or is there likely to be a sequel ?

Well, a sequel would depend largely on bribing/begging/coercing more artists to draw for the next war. :p However, it *IS* something that potentially could happen... after all, *ALL* of the main EOU cadre have been accounted for after the war. None have died.

Even the Editor's made his appearance. If you missed it, he reappeared almost a year after the war in Mindmistress, looking for help in getting healed.

And later, escaped back into the ether surrounding the webcomic worlds here:

http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/misscov.htm

He's only been spotted once or twice since, though, but trust me, he's out there. Of course, he appears on EOU's chat box from time to time too. :p

"So what is your advice to me?"
"Stop doing stupid crap."

Darn it.

Reading the whole thing, it's just a one panel "Oh, hi there, I'm leaving, say goodbye to LL for me".
Egads, I just realized -- MM plays in the LL tradition of superman!

Well, yeah, his escape is only one panel long or so. His COMING to MM was an entire story arc... and she's also using his prison, now vacant, for other purposes (living nanites are put there now, if I remember right).

It seems the stage for the next war is set. Most people think the editor is dead and the editor has had the time to restock and prepare for war. The few people who know the editor is alive don't or didn't seem concerned about his resurrection.
I think therefor I am.

I can't say if there will be more. I just said that everything is ready if anyone wants to restart the wars.

The scene is set for more, perhaps... but whether there will *BE* more is another story entirely. :) Never know what the future will hold.

Alright, I just re-read the start of Cameo Comics.

It starts with an auditions in progress sign, and "No Nagas".

Cute.

Hogan is saying that the plans are for a rescue mission, a bounty hunt, and an all out war.

Rescue mission? Check.
All out war? Check

Who/what was the bounty hunt?

Oh -- Add "Zortic" to the list of broken links. Site was re-organized, and the older (pre-2008) comics seem gone.
Until November 12, this is me.
