Yup, as of this evening, it will have been 730 days since the first proper strip of Prismatic Vodka appeared on the original badly-html'd comicgenesis website. 70 strips and 270 pages later (almost one every two days, though admittedly those 70 strips don't really count - still better than one every three days) and it's a very different me and a fairly different comic to those which first joined the webcomicking community. Loose ideas, flimsily attached to one another, have metamorphosed into a sturdy, complex and (dare I say it?) sophisticated plot. My art skills have gone from laughable to tolerable verging on half-decent. Characters have developed from blank slates into beings capable of emoting (more or less), and have started to argue with me when I tell them what they're going to do next (the little rats...).
A hit count once beyond my wildest dreams - 30 visits a day! - has become the norm, despite two long and disappointing breaks this summer (though the numbers once rode around the 100 mark, but we'll not worry about that now ^_--). Most importantly, I feel like I've begun to win the respect of my peers. I feel like, despite the fact that the coming year is set to be busy as hell, I can keep going a bit longer.
I do, of course, have to thank a few people. Thanks to Dom and Biev for getting me through the crazy times since I celebrated the comic's first birthday (thanks to Biev also for providing the current webhosting!). Thanks to my family, and especially my sister, for not pointing out how rubbish the first few strips were when they saw them >.> Thanks to Paul for inventing Prismatic Vodka, and to him and Foz for being among my staunchest fans (and also for not giving away the bits of the ending they know ^_--). Thanks to Hogan for giving me this forum and really making me feel part of the webcomics community, to all the other webcomickers out there who link to me, inspire me and entertain me (or some combination thereof), and to everyone who's visited the site over the last two years and enjoyed it enough to come back.
Here's to the next two years!

Cheers! Here's to another 2 years... at least! May they be at least as good as the previous ones!
