I know Tink has something planned.
As for me I'm thinking maybe just letting some of my characters be used in other cartoons while I just sit back & read them.
At the moment I just want to unwind from this one. A leetle more stressful than I thought it would be.
BTW Friday's KAMics will have a... related cartoon to the Caper. (Hopefully people will think it funny.)

Hehehe... calm down by! Some people have still hangovers after that Halloween party you all threw!
Well, go ahead people, suggest away!
Whatever you come up with in this thread I'll use as basic for a poll on the possibly future location for the Halloween Cameo Caper 2007 when its time to open up a new forum for that!
I guess we'll give people the rest of the year to calm down after this nerve-wrecking and laughter-inducing experience, and with the coming of the new year we'll open up the new forum with the poll, letting it run for a month or two. Then the invitation goes out and its sign-up time!
What I would like to see, is the Caper either going under the sea, into space or back to ancient China... but thats up for you to decide
One think will be sure, no matter where it ends, we'll come up with a whole new unique setting like with good old Shelterville!

Avatar is Hogan cameoing in Misfits of Mischief by ROAR
Well, I don't know about next year, but I plan of a lot of X-Mas cameos in the Magiversity comic... (such as Wheels doing a temporary job as Santa Claus at the marketplace)....

Personally, I like the idea of a futuristic/space setting... something that's kind of sci-fi to be different from this year's Western theme. Though by next year, I might have things set up for a specific plot device that could get anyone to any location that people choose. (My strip may be behind, but I've got it more or less planned out from now until the end of the comic.)
'Course, first I have 2 1/2 Shelterville comics to finish... stupid arthiritis/being sick/looking for work so I can pay the bills. They should be up by the weekend.

The kids
I too am doing some wrap up at The Councils Institute of Magical Studies. After all I have to intergrate a new Character the Ghost Whisper Song. I vote for Underwater since the kids are already equiped to operate underwater. See you all in the funny papers ..er ..web.. screen...
Present Day
Oh yeah My Gang would most certainly be in an alien enviornment in present day. The ideas came at me in a rush when I read Darians post! Can you see the Kids at Wal-Mart!
Hehe.... I'll restart The Lost Battle Fortress soon, and I'm thinking of doing a side story involving the Bonne Brise (with Admiral Wheels in command vs a bunch of booze-addicted ducks!)
Anyway, a science fiction setting would be nice next year. I'd prefer Sci Fi over any other genre anyway.

I'd prefer sci-fi too (possibly an opportunity to make good on the disaster I had when I crossed my sci-fi comic over with Prismatic Vodka). But of course, as KAM said, I have a bunch of cameo-type stuff planned for next summer anyway (basically, Mike gets zapped to another plane and then astrally projected across at least two other comics, probably more...).
But yeah, sci-fi sounds good. Can we avoid time travel this time? It makes things... awkward...

Settings and more
Hey!
I've got to admit, this did end up as a lot more work than I expected too! I've got no idea how I ended up doing them all in color... I just don't do color! :: lol :: Anyway, I like the idea of a scifi setting, either space station or undersea base.
I'd argue for something odd in the setting, as in not just modern Earth, 'cause it's easier than to set up a recognizable constant between strips.
I'm looking forward to more.

Y'know, I realised last night that if things go to plan and I can manage to draw a little faster than I currently am (which I know I'm capable of, it's just I'm not being very organised right now), I'll be drawing my Halloween story for next year in about mid-May (I like to be ahead).
Because of this, if we can all agree on a setting, I don't mind doing most of the admin work (assuming Hogan doesn't mind me stealing his baby...), including but not limited to mapping the location and stuff. I'm planning a big crossover storyline for October anyway, ending in a big party much like happened this year.

Time travel.
Strictly speaking I'm stuck with time travel no matter what we do. My strip takes place far in the future after a Magic acopoclic (how do you spell that?) event. At the very least I need to cross dimensions since Humans are extinct. Having said that I have no problem doing that. The alternative is not playing in this sand box. The kids can do some limited shape shifting so the location is not a problem. I think we would benefit from the setting being laid out earlier so we can draw with confidence. And in case I haven't said it before it was a privilege for this newbee to work with you all.
Sci-fi's cool, underwater works, locked in a shopping mall could even be fun. I'm even down with time travel or dimensional travel... after all, one of my characters is an elf from another dimension who ended up on Earth. Actually, since the mythology of my comic (that hasn't been told yet) contains a device capable of making simultaneous changes in every universe/dimension/etc., theoretically anything is possible with D/b. Just so long as I know the details in advance, I can curve my story to fit pretty much anything.

Y'see, my characters work for a group who have as one of their highest principles an aversion to time travel (basically because I've seen it screw up too many stories I've been enjoying *cough*Stargate*cough*), so if we can avoid it so that my characters don't get in trouble, that would be nice (though, admittedly, by next October, my lot are going to be up to their ears in trouble and probably won't notice any more...).
I'm desperately trying to find a way to get the sentence 'underwater shopping mall... IN SPACE' to make sense... I mean, we could have a water planet somewhere away from Earth where we go to a shopping mall...
NO WAIT I GOT IT! A shopping mall in space, which is closed because it's coated in ice! Genius sez I...
</raving lunacy>
So many ideas, so little time...

While Stargate has had some messed up time travel episodes, at least their messed-up time travel stories are fun to watch unlike most/all of Voyager/Enterprise's MUTTS.
How about a storyline where we hunt down & kill Berman & Braga?
Just kidding.
Anyway Tink, in this case the time travel is just the gimmick to get the characters all together, it isn't the story.
Like in most Dr. Who episodes, it's just there at the beginning & end & almost never comes up in the actual story save for the occasional mention or reference.

Well, I dunno, I'd love it if we could squeeze in a joke where we kill Berman and Braga (possibly Scott Bakula as well...). Maybe just drop the trunk on them or something...
I agree that, in this instance, time travel isn't such a big deal, but I did actually get really worked up at the Stargate end-of-season-8 time travel special. Which universe did they end up in? Mind you, Stargate should have just ended at the end of season 8...
But yeah, rant over...
