The Great Plotline Manager of 1883

Post by feyd »

Since this crossover event has grown beyond the expectations of probably everyone involved, I figured that I would post this in order to help everyone that's going to be in Shelterville before the 31st to decide what their characters are going to be doing to pass the time away. There are a few different storylines that seem to be developing and while no one has to pick and choose only one to take part in, it would really help to add to the story and setting of Shelterville if certain comics were more focused on certain plot aspects than others.

This list is going to be set up much like the Timeline, but instead of showing the dates and what will be going on with each comic it will show the plot thread and which comics will be pursuing it. If you see one that you think you'd like to participate in, then just post here and you'll be added (and make sure that you supply your plot details to the Timeline thread so that others will know what your characters are doing); along those same lines, if you've got a story idea that you'd like to see implimented as a plot thread then post it here so that others can get onboard.

I'll be updating this list later once I re-read through some of the threads to determine what folks are doing; it will also keep updating as others decide to chime in and add their characters to plotlines. Remember that you can do multiple plotlines, but if you do then try to post what days you'll be doing each (or in the event that you have multiple characters and want to split them up among different plotlines, then be sure to post who will be in what storyline.)

So here's what I've got so far:

The Graveyard/Burial Cave
Division/bell
Darian's Friends
Life and Death

The Outlaw/Bounty Hunter
Pr0nCrest
Drunken Scribblings

The "Incident in Shelterville"
The KAMics

The Takeover

Obviously, there's more going on in Shelterville than that... if I've missed your participation (or haven't gotten around to adding it) then let me know, and as I said before if you want to join in on a current storyline or want to start a new one, then let me know as well!

I think this is an excellent idea.

Kori meets briefly with the Pr0nCrest character/ancestor at the very beginning of the crossover, but that's not enough to justify him being linked to that storyline. I'll keep this thread informed tho.

I feel stupid now for letting my update schedule get in the way of serious participation in the main plots... The DS characters are kind of tied in with the whole trunk thing, since they can't leave until it's deactivated or whatever, but I don't think I can actually contribute much more than a snarky remark to the story :(

As I said in another thread I don't know what the "Shelterville incident" is so... any ideas? Clearly it's something Nikki would rather forget.

Hmm... well, so far no one's really claimed any of the weird effects of the time bubble aside from the main group exploring the graveyard, so maybe it had something to do with that? Ghosts in the city, or some other effect of reality being out-of-place with itself?

Didn't you say that they're in Shelterville just after being punished and sent to earth? Maybe the "Incident" involved them going up against something scary, and Nikki lost her nerve? Or worse... they got trapped inside a section of the town where time and space were being warped horribly. Maybe in a Groundhog Day kind of way, or maybe in a way that would be much less fun.

I've made a possible suggestion for another storyline on the Time-Line thread. Basically someone decided to take advantage of the time bubble's isolating the town as a way to take over.

On my RSVP thread Hogan made a funny suggestion for what the incident is/was/will be & I'm probably going to go with a variation of that, but thanks for the suggestion.

Ok, updated this a little. I added Drunken Scribblings to the Bounty Hunter storyline instead of the Graveyard, since even though the they're tied in with the trunk they'll likely not be directly involved with that part of the story (and you'd mentioned that your characters could be used for the story with Dia's ancestor.)

I also went ahead and added "The Takeover", though no one's really committed to it yet... it sounds like a cool idea, though.
