The Entrance and exit

The Magical Misfits Kids will as previously mentioned arrive via a defective Library Portal. I Plan to have the Wizard Gogo come pick them up at the end.

I know what you mean. My strip started out as brief real-life conversations that had actually happened to me, but it's grown to the point where none of my characters are anything like the people upon whom they are originally based.
feyd wrote:So far as I know, the trunk has only been shown from a front view, has it not?
Wouldn't it be best to keep it consistently shown in the same way, from the same angle, as part of the running gag? Like how it hasn't lost its "Ship to Abu Dabi" label. I personally would be against changing it in any way whatsoever. Because if it never changes appearance, we don't have to explain its chronology (ie when it was where and why, and how it got from here to there).
KAM wrote:I've also toyed with the idea that there might be many trunks traveling the multiverse, which could explain some inconsistencies between comics.
Yeah, this is an excellent thought. I agree, but maybe it is best left 'unsaid' for the reader to figure out.

KAM: I've pretty much decided to not actually reveal who it was that stole it or what the actual purpose of it was; the culprit doesn't get away clean, however. Very bad things happen to him as the ghosts and spirits he woke up take him with them on their way back to the other world.

Darian: I wasn't going to show the back of the trunk; I was going to have Gray make a reference to a symbol on the back. You know, so that the "legend of the trunk" will include a symbol in the back, but since no one's ever seen the back the audience won't know what it looks like. Makes it more mysterious that way. Or something.

I have a possible storyline for those who aren't involved in the graveyard/cave storyline.

The time bubble is causing people to see ghosts & it leads one person to try & takeover the town (his father felt that the Johnson who founded the town swindled him & the son feels he has let his father down by not doing more) he gathers up a bunch of lackeys & it results in a gunfight that several authors have talked about.

Does that sound good? Any more ideas?

Yay gunfight! (at the KO corral? please?) *calms down*

I'm sure I can get my characters into a gunfight somehow. Mike'll hear gunshots and just start shooting people...

I know this is a bit cheeky, but in my other upcoming trunk cameo, I wanted one of my characters to change the 'Abu Dabi' label to 'Pluto' (it was for a cheap gag, I'm sorry :p ). Does anyone mind? I realise this does kinda put a definite point in the trunk's story, so that every appearance of the trunk afterwards has to be defined as pre- or post-label-changing, so if people aren't happy with that I don't mind changing it back (equally, I'm sure Hogan would love some way of keeping the Trunk cameos in order :p)

Tink, why not just show the pluto label peeling off immediately after?

And regarding the gunfight, if anyone wants to show a bullet winging/ricocheting off of Kori's bike (left in town while he's in the graveyard) let me know so i can incorporate his reaction later.

That would also make great mysterious evidence that shelterville had 'really happened.'

LOL!

Shame this isn't LICC where there would be plenty of redshirts to get killed.

Ah, well we could just make them bad guys hired by the villain.

Doesn't bother me.

Also I've mentioned in some thread or other that things have appeared, disappeared & reappeared on the trunk, so it doesn't matter.

So is he not going to find a copy of the photo? Or will people just assume that it was a modern photo made to look old?

I posted some of this over at the Time-Line thread, but it's applicable here as well.

Hogan had a good idea for what the "Shelterville incident" would be.

27 (maybe) Nikki (the redhead) drinks some of Zog's alien booze gets knocked for a loop and later while still tipsy ends up scantily clad in the street.

Actually it might be fun if she falls off a balcony & lands on Kori's motorcycle, accidentally turning it on* and zipping down the street, running into a white sheet then she crosses the path of the Scolari Brothers who've just run into town screaming about ghosts, she then collides with a hay bale and gets thrown free colliding with a bad guy who's got the drop on Deadly Dia.

Although I don't know if there's enough time to coordinate with the other authors about this.

*or a horse could be substituted.

28 or 29 try to get something up about the attempted takeover

30 The shootout with the bad guys trying to take over. (Who wants in on this? I think Tink said that some of his characters would be, I think Wheels wanted Ogre Beb involved.)

31 If possible I'll try to have something for this, but it's iffy at best.

Sorry it's so late. Anyone with suggestions or additions or whatever let me know.

For Tinkerbell

Post by Wheels »

How about you affix a to pluto lable over the abu dabi lable it can fall off later due to bad glue and it won't effect the timeline of the trunk. Ain't I a smart Fat ol Bald Guy

Is anyone doing anything with Kori's motorbike? It is left in town for the greater part of the shelterville saga.

Hey, just wanted to let you know---there will be one character crashing the party, my character Mindmistress, tracking down a horse that can cross realities (first introduced here at http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/horror38.htm and http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/horror40.htm), and she'll use her illusion-casting powers to create a western version of her look, including grey-silver western vest, jeans, hat, and a silvery Lone Ranger mask (a la Green Lantern) that also looks like her real mask.

It'll be a one page thing, published at http://mindmistress.comicgenesis.com/cameo.htm Monday morning and not interfering with your major storylines at all.

I will have cameo appearances by Death/Steve from Life and Death, Stewart the Dragon from Magical Misfits, and Fox, with links to both the Halloween crossover and those individual strips.

Sorry about the last-minuteness. I wasn't sure how soon I was going to finish with my current storyline.
